Gayla Earlene was raised in the small town of Inola, Oklahoma but with big dreams of becoming a successful singer/songwriter. As a child she loved listening to her dad sing and play guitar and her Mom play piano. Both had a big influence on her music and it was during those early years that she began to play guitar and write poetry that soon became songwriting. Her persistent drive and dedication to excellence in her art has proven to be one of her strong points in the industry.

Gayla Earlene began her professional singing career at the early age of 15. She met her husband, Gene Crain, while in the music business and they have spent their years together in both country and gospel music. They traveled with and performed alongside known personalities such as Mr. Roy Clark and the late Freddy Fender. They've also worked with the likes of Minnie Pearl, Johnny Russell, Willie Nelson, Carl Perkins, Carl Belew, Hank Thompson, Mel Tillis, Jack Greene, Marty Raybon, Jim Ed Brown, Porter Wagoner, Miss Norma Jean, Barbara Fairchild and have been the opening act for Gene Watson and more. They also enjoyed working with The Johnnie Lee Wills Band and traveled with the legendary Billy Parker as the KVOO Radio Big Country Band out of Tulsa, OK.

Gayla and Gene have appeared on the nationwide broadcasts of the CCMA(ICM) awards show live from Nashville, TN and have had the distinct opportunity to perform on the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman Auditorium, The General Jackson Showboat at Opryland and the TCT network with various hosts, also in Nashville, TN.
